Quinta da Madrugada
Once a thriving farmstead this land was home to families who lived in the casa do campo, with their animals sheltered nearby in the old stone stables. Over time the buildings fell into disrepair and were eventually reclaimed by nature.
In 2014 the land was lovingly brought back to life. The villa and cabana were thoughtfully rebuilt, honouring the spirit of the original homestead while embracing modern comfort and sustainability.
Today the estate operates fully off-grid. Pure drinking water flows from our 80-meter-deep-borehole. Solar panels provide hot water and clean electricity. Heating is sourced from our own firewood harvested from the surrounding land with care. It is a quiet return to simplicity - luxury in harmony with nature.
