ABOUT
Luxury villa set into the hillside overlooking the Serra da Estrella mountain range and Alva Valley. The villa boasts 4 rooms and can sleep up to 9 people, it also has an 8m x 4m private salt water swimming pool, BBQ and outdoor eating area. The villa and pool are private, set in 6 hectares of woodland.
OUR ROOMS
With spectacular mountain views, this purpose built villa is open and spacious with two en-suite double bedrooms and two bedrooms with single beds sharing a bathroom . The living ,dining and cooking areas are well equipped and open plan - all facing the mountains through huge sliding windows.
OUR SERVICES
Welcome Pack
We do not offer breakfast, instead we provide guests with a 'Welcome Pack' consisting of local produce such as wine, bread,cheeses, meats, freshly laid eggs and much more.
Free Wifi
We offer free WIFI to our guests in the form of a portable WIFI box, this means you can take it away from the Quinta on your days out and still stay connected. WIFI password available in the Welcome Pack.
Land
Quinta Da Madrugada is set in 6 Hectres of woodland walks, here you will find our 1 hectre goat pen, frog ponds, water mines, caves and old stone ruins. The land is available to all guests to relax and enjoy.
Weekly Housekeeping
Here at Quinta Da Madrugda we pride ourselves on cleanliness and employ fantastic cleaners to ensure your stay is as clean and comfortable as possible. We offer a half day cleaning service should you stay for more than 1 week. Use of our own laundry can be organised should you need it.
Pool
The salt-water swimming pool is great in the summer to cool off or sunbathe. The salt-water is much healthier for guests than the usual chlorine swimming pool as it is skin and hair friendly . The pool is exclusive for guests and is cleaned 3 times a week (usually between 8am-10am).
Pets
As we also have tenants that live permanently on the estate who own a beautiful Portuguese mountain dog (around 100m from the Quinta) you may sometimes also notice our 3 friendly cats.
We are also dog friendly should you want to bring your own dog/s and have a separate dog kennel next to the Quinta for your dogs needs.

Kayaking,canoeing and fishing.
We have a beautiful river which flows through our valley and kayaking is very popular in the summer, just simply ask us and we can arrange for you to use them.
Fishing is also very popular here and we can set you up with a fishing license and fishing equipment if required.
Bird Watching
We are blessed to have so many different types of bird here at Quinta Da Madrugada, why not sit back and watch the family of eagles, they are seen circling our land everyday or borrow some of our binoculars and/or camera and take some beautiful pictures.
Farm Visits
Quinta Da Madrugada is situated in rural Portuguese countryside and so we are surrounded by farms and farm animals. If you or your children would like to visit one, we have multiple friends who would love to see you on their farm. Here you can pick your own eggs and seasonal vegetables.
Half day Serra Da Estrella Tour
The Quinta overlooks the breathtaking Serra Da Estrella mountain range and in the range is the mountain 'Torre'. Soaring 1993 meters above sea level and with vast views of the Portuguese landscape. We would love to take you and your party to see the sights. They have numerous gift shops and a great restaurant. We highly recommend this, alternatively we can point you in the right direction and you can enjoy Torre as a private party.
River beaches and walks
Oliveria do Hospital and the surrounding towns boast beautiful man made river beaches, which are a brilliant way to spend your day. Most have a restaurant or bar for refreshments and the rivers have been certified safe for swimming. We have plenty of brochures to guide you on which one to choose.
Visit Olivera Do Hospital
With a vast amount of shops, Olivera Do Hospital is a great place to visit for a day out. From restaurants to local produce farm shops, this little town has everything to offer. Also here you can find pharmacies, post office, hairdressers and other useful shops.
